When seeking a perch high or low it is fun to have homemade creations. Here is a sampling of perches created in my shop.

Cherry Bench paired to the Trestle Table.

Crosby w/small but robust sinker H. Mahogany step stool,
low bench, cabinet (mostly hidden drawers)
or yet another horizontal surface .

Detail of the Crosby Hobbit Bench.

Cherry step stool w/through tenons from sides.

Two Hobbit Chairs of walnut. On left uses conventional
walnut and on the right is wormy, wild figured
salvaged SB street tree walnut.
Gastil uses the left chair as her every day
computer chair. Wild walnut chair was
created as a gift for a dear friend.

Woven Danish cord seat of walnut.

Stool plank from a dusty collection of
off-the-inventory 8/4 Chestnut from Maryland
lumber yard. Amazing variety of color and grain
within this one plank. The color contrast has
diminished with age. Note slightly proud,
button-like pegs to secure tenons in leg mortises.

Another Danish Cord woven bench.
Created for Gastil to use when
changing into her bike shoes.
